Food For Thought
There were times when Jesus used the Word and because of its power things changed.
The Word is truth and even if a person never reads the Bible it is still true and accomplishes what God intended for it to do, or intends for it to do.
hmmmmm, just thinking

Think about a time when you were facing a difficult situation and tell me if the following statement is/was true.

Gradually as we become more God-centered than self-centered, our despair turns to hope.

I accidentally deleted all of my emails. I was only going to delete the pesky scammer...don't tell CBdav...I could have given him his handle and let him be his friend but instead I checked to delete all by mistake.

Not that I correspond to many people lately working 6 days a week 14 hours a day but if I wanted to....now I really can't! since I only have 12 points in my account.

So ifin you want to help...you could visit my profile and or send me an email so I can correspond back.
(It might not be until 2AM but right now I cannot at all)

How many disappointments or hurts do we hide away or put on hold so we don’t have to deal with them?
It is easy to find out just truthfully answer this:
What are the three deepest darkest hurts that you have hidden in your heart?
We walk around thinking if we could just make it around the next corner, get that promotion, or save a little more money...then what we are looking for or waiting for will be there for us and make everything all better. We deceive ourselves into thinking that all the hindrances that seem to hold us back will go away.
If we are honest we know that is not true. The only way to true freedom from ALL our hurts and pains is to take that key and unlock those doors of our heart and ask God to come in and heal our deepest wounds that we cannot seem to get past.
Even though we keep them locked away and hidden the enemy sneaks in and uses them to bring up old wounds and torment us and keep us from peace, contentment, and joy.
To experience the joy and contentment that only comes from God where we can rest in our loving heavenly Father’s arms we need to clean house.

Love and Rejection

How many times have we loved and not felt loved in return?
I was pondering this thought today as I was on a 45 minute drive to an appointment.
It made me think of the many times I rejected God's love and promptings to follow Him.
Then I wondered what lesson there was to be learned from reaching out to others and not feeling loved or accepted in return.
Do we say, "If you love me then..."
How do we measure love? How do we know we are loved?
Is love a thing, an emotion, an act, or a state of mind?
Hmmmm?
If we look at I Corinthians 13: 4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.

So as I go about my day and life do I really express the Biblical meaning of love?

Words of Wisdom From Fellow Bloggers

In our everyday life the world is out there fighting for our attention. We are unique creatures in that we are not of this world but we are still in it. Our life is not our own. We are now on a mission planned from above and yet are stuck in the fast track of life here on planet earth.
As we go about we may struggle from time to time to keep our focus where it belongs and yet have to juggle the affairs of this world just like everyone else.
But praise God, when He puts things together then we can count on them to work.
Contemplating our future with things around us falling down, in more ways than one, I hope and pray that each one of you are finding the quiet time we so desperately need to "touch the hem of His garment" with our hearts and faith ready to receive all that is needed to help us walk from day to day.
I copied the following comments I ran across in just the last couple of days to share in case you have not seen them.
If you find yourself questioning, wondering, contemplating what is right, good, solid, or not of God then I pray that these words will speak to your heart and give you comfort and you find peace in the arms of our wonderful Father God.
If you feel you are wandering on an uncertain path I encourage you to seek God and ask Him to clearly show you the way He would have you go.

Sister Rhonda:
A good and timely word, Danny. We have as a nation- a people- grown to love comfort in all areas. We want to lose weight and eat all we want, we want to put all of our temporal pleasures on credit. We want it now. We want to hear that no matter what fruit we produce-we have a ticket to Glory. Well, time to wake up and smell the coffee. What happy pills have been slipped into the water supply? (joking)
Serving God has become "just believe and you'll have no more worries". The saying "the proof is in the pudding" holds true and has always been one of my favorites. God Bless

Brother David:
ALLOWING THE LORD TO PROVE ALL THINGS IN TIME. I TRUELY BELIEVE IT WILL JUST BE NATURAL YOU MIGHT SAY AND JUST FLOW TOGETHER IN HIM AND OF HIM. IT WONT BE SOMETHING OF OURSELVES, IT WILL BE OF HIM AND BY FOR HIM.

Where Have You Been?

But more importantly;
Where Are You Going?
My heart was stirred today as I was in prayer for those that are hurting, questioning, or uncertain about what to do or why things are happening
I hope something here speaks to you and you find peace and answers from above.
Until I realized that God was waiting on me, I was a lost, lonely, defeated, shipwrecked Christian.
Time and time again I tried to make my plans work, but I proved over and over that “my” plans could not work with-out God at the helm.
It was only when I realized my life was not my own and to be successful and victorious I had to return to my first love.
I had to empty out all my pockets and all the hidden areas of my heart and lay them on the alter and decide I did not want my plans anymore. I only wanted what God wanted for me.
I finally stopped what I was doing, that did not work anyway, and allowed God to have a place in my heart and busy schedule.
God reached down with His grace and mercy and when I felt worthless, He said, “You are something special, you are my precious .” “If you will seek Me and trust Me, then I, your Heavenly Father will make the way plain.” “I will make the crooked path that you see before you straight.” “I love you and will show you the things I have for you.” “You will not want or need anything, it will be waiting for you as you reach out to others along the way.”
“Do not conform or plan as the world plans, but let Me be your guide.” “There are things I want to show you, there are things I want to share with you, if you would only seek Me every step of the way, it will be as I have said.”
Did God speak to me like we speak to each other? No, He spoke to me through His Word mostly. But there were many times He has spoken to my heart.
That was four years ago. There have been many opportunities to be scared, there have been many opportunities to doubt, but when I felt alone, confused, or scared I yelled out to God and said, “You promised You would be there!” “You promised you would help me!”
I don’t recommend that you yell at God...I was yelling in more a desperation type sense.
Sometimes He would not answer me right away, but He reminded me He was still there by sending someone to talk to me, giving me a parking spot right at the door, (some of you know how special that is to me) or I would get an encouraging card, email, or phone call.
Sitting on the Potter’s wheel I looked like an unsightly lumpy blob of clay. But God did not see me like that. He looked down with love and compassion and took the time to mold me into something wonderfully new.
At long last I had a hope and a successful future in God’s schedule.
I went from kicking, screaming, and crying to being able to rest in the arms of my Father God, who loves me even when I fail.
God is at work in our lives. The more we let Him work the more He works and helps us through every situation.
I pray whatever path you are on you are able to see God at work on your behalf and you are encouraged to know that He WILL do what He said He would do.
There is freedom and liberty to all that will accept God’s free gift paid by the blood of Jesus for you and for me.
Thank You Father for your unconditional love. Thank You Jesus that You came and died for me,
I love You.
